On a side note is your dad going to be in a home permanently?

If long term you will have tell the insurance company as homes left unattended for more than 30 day or 60 in some cases may invalidate the home insurance.

You may have to get your dad to call up and then pass the phone over to you to explain if he is unable to do so.
