They are offering same holiday 2 days later on return 2 days late. I cannot travel on these dates so just a refund BUT as I booked so early now holidays of the type i booked are much more expensive so I need to find £900 to get a similar holiday as they will only cover what I paid.

If thats even an option. TUI dont fly out of Luton anymore bar a route to Majorca iirc.

Like I said it could be a specialist once a week route, maybe from Gatwick or Manchester, be nowhere else nearby.

That was only an example, albeit a bad one. Maybe Bristol instead of Cardiff. shrugs You get the picture.

Just an update, after a few calls and lots of on hold music a very helpful lady went through the options and there was the same flight with the same carrier only 3 hours earlier in the day available and for the return same again jut 1 hour later? crazy but all sorted now. will give customer service 5* as they were polite and helpful once they got going.

Sounds like it's a TUI package but operated by a third party airline? And the airline changed their schedule.

Glad TUI sorted it, however it's a bit odd they would propose to shift the holiday by two days if the same airline had seats available a few hours from the original. That sort of nonsense is what you might expect from some OTA's, but I'd expect better from TUI.

I recently had a flight changed by Ryanair from 8am to 8pm, despite there being a 6am departure that would have been infinitely more sensible to move me onto (had to login and change it myself). Automated systems works in mysterious ways.

I'm shocked to see that a change of flight time of less than 24 hours is not considered by TUI to be a major change.
