Nationwide Fair Share
Anyone know how the Nationwide Fair Share scheme works ?
I was moved over to Nationwide after being a long standing Cheshire Member, no bonus for that either. I have never received any 'fair share'.
I tried making contact with Nationwide on Instagram, but that is not monitored. And for reasons unknown, I am suspended from twitter ?

Google 'Nationwide fairer share conditions' (or other search engine)and that will tell you criteria quicker than it took you to post that.

I got an email last week confirming that i qualify

Thanks. From reading that again I now understand that I need two accounts to qualify.
My first thought was to withdraw and close my account as there are better around and I do feel a bit put out.
But after putting my dummy back in, I thought is it worth keeping open for any future benefit ?
Opinions Please.

It is not difficult to meet the criteria (which have remained broadly the same since the scheme was introduced, but could of course be changed next year). To be on the safe side, many go beyond the minimum criteria.

You didn't get a "bonus" when the Cheshire was taken over by Nationwide because the Cheshire was bust due to unwise business loan lending and the Nationwide rescued it.

Is it paid to each qualifying member or only one payment if you have a joint account, but sole savings?
Not sure i've seen that mentioned anywhere.
How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 3.24% of current retirement "pot" (as at end December 2025)1 -
Joint current/savings accounts count as qualifying for each account holder.
So in your example, the holder of the sole savings account would qualify.
If both parties had joint savings then they would both qualify.
Link is to para 5 that addresses joint accounts.
