M&S credit card, Expedia problems

I recently signed up for an m&s credit card that is 0% interest for 25 months. I’ve got a limit of 6k and having been trying to book a holiday on Expedia for 1k, when booking the payment went through and then was reversed instantly. The card works with other merchants but seems to be a problem with Expedia and love holidays. Has anyone else had this problem ?

Not had the same problem but find m and s customer service excellent so just contact them and they will explain.

apparently it tried taking more money that Expedia was supposed to. It know won’t work and Expedia have just told me to use a different card which is annoying. M&S said it’s a security problem as they have extra security for larger purchases, was a waste of time signing up for it

Three seperate people having issues suggests there is a problem when trying to pay at Expedia with an M&S credit card.

Same happened to me. I had four British airways transactions that went, while the hotel portion was declined. I had to use my Amex and wait 30 days for the pending transactions to be released. M&S claim they are being a responsible lender in preventing the authorisations even when you tell them it's a package holiday. Sounds like a systemic issue.
