Very pleased to report that I have now written all the thank you letters and notes, and posted all but one of them. I need to get to a post office to post the final one so that'll wait until I'm in town. That task has been nipping at my heels for several days so I'm chuffed as nuts it's off my list at last.

Morning all,
Ex-DH has taken my car tyre to get it repaired, as I somehow managed to get a nail in it, and for the last couple of weeks I have had a slow puncture. I was still sleeping when he came round, so he fed the animals and put the dog out into her kennel (so it has saved me a little time this morning)
My list for today
Laundry x 4 loadsHH me timeCheck banking and sort through dds spreadsheet and updateWater the indoor plants- Spend an hour revising for uni exams that I have in August
- Spend an hour working on website
Load the DW and switch it onAnswer the email that I received from the councilFind the latest item sold on V and package it up for postingMake a payment to the car loanWork out how much debt I have and make a plan to get it cleared asap- HHI
Update Mr T order for delivery tomorrow- Feed the animals and take the dog for a walk
- Take DD up to the stables so she can feed the ponies and do some work with them.
- Take the kids out for a pizza treat using vouchers from Mr T
I think that is everything that I need to tackle today. I hope everyone has a lovely Saturday.
Total Debt (June 2026) £27,617 - Proposed debt-free date: August 2032
July 2026 paid £2000, new balance £25,617

I have sort of been doing but not posting.
Tuesday I had an appointment phone call from the epilepsy nurse to check how I was doing etc. She's going to refer everything to the consultant and see what he says before my next appointment with him next year.
At home I just S/S and put bits and pieces away or disposed of as I saw them.
Wednesday I had my mental health group which I always find stressful, no different this week. I didn't feel great in the evening and ended up going to bed early.
Thursday I met up with DD2 and we to the job centre with her. Then we went to DD1's to ask GS if his auntie could borrow the pirate she gave him (she's helping her neighbour with something to do with her job and it's pirate themed) GS flatly refused. The kid's going to have a big shock when he finds out he's going to have to share with his sister when she's older!
After that we went back to DD2's flat to do more packing. I brought bags of stuff she didn't want going into storage home with me. The place looks even more like a jumble sale!
On Friday I went back to hers so we could finish the packing. The storage men came to get it all at lunchtime. DD2 is obviously very upset.
We have been advised by several people and confirmed it online that she should wait til bailiffs come to the property before she leaves because the council won't help her with temporary accommodation til then. If she leaves on the date on the letter she's classed as making herself homeless and they won't help.
Today I'm at home catching up on bits and pieces. As I'm going back tomorrow to help her deep clean very though she'll still be there.
Yesterday I had to rejig my freezers to accommodate her frozen foods. Some of it had to go to my parents as they have a big chest freezer. This now means I need to rejig my shopping list and meal plan. DD2 has said I'm to use whatever I want and we can replace it later.
DW unloaded and odd collected and put in for next time.
WM & TD both on
I'm now going to try and make room upstairs for DD2's stuff.

we had a good cleaning and tidying session yesterday ahead of a visitor coming for the afternoon. It's always a good incentive to just get on with hoovering, dusting, cleaning and tidying.
I'll do some admin this afternoon and I need to tidy and organise the fridge and freezer as these are so full that I have no idea what is in either of them.

Cool wet and windy here. Feels like October. That summer was really short.
Not enough washing for a load but I'll do some tomorrow. Just dailies otherwise, don't feel up to much but it's tidy enough and I vacuumed through downstairs yesterday.
Hope everyone's OK x

AfternoonEvening all. Well done Honey_Bear x. I hope you enjoyed your well-earned lie-in, MMM xI should have posted this earlier, but got sidetracked!
I am pleased to have cleared one church admin job this morning which was on a tight deadline.
Last night I put my knitting aside for an hour and emptied 3 more photo albums whilst half-watching TV. I've got a set of 5x pictures taken in 1992 from the top of the church tower of my former home city to send to the Archivist, to add to their public collections if they wish; and I've kept just 2 beautiful nature pictures to make into greetings cards. Otherwise, all the ones I want to keep are dated and (where necessary) annotated, and I've thrown out dozens of pure landscapes and fuzzy images. It makes me wish that I'd been a lot more ruthless when I first put the pictures in the albums!
There's a bit more shelf space free in the landing cupboard. Only 6 more albums - slightly smaller ones - to go, then the big sort-out of the prints that I want to keep, and after that I shall have to buckle down and deal with about 10 years' worth of slides.

All the tops of the units in the kitchen, the fridge and the freezer have been scrubbed and newspaper put on them so they'll be easier to clean next time around. All the gibble that lives in those spaces has been washed, dried and put back. The top of the hanging rail has been scrubbed, and the spice shelf has been cleared, dusted and re-instated. Cobwebs removed and high white paintwork has been washed.
The kitchen is getting a thorough clean, which it needs. It was beginning to irritate me, and it take a lot of dust to irritate me.

For anyone who's confused about which cleaning chemicals and cloths to use, although this chap is American, his expertise is second to none, and translatable to UK products. I'm not suggesting buying anything from him.
It seems the case that whenever I do a marathon clean, like the spring cleaning in the kitchen I'm doing at the moment, that it throws up tasks that take time, like repairs etc. Today's job that I needed Belovéd's input on was sorting through the postcards (keep, chuck, keep but elsewhere for different reasons) and the fridge magnets that we've collected over the past few years on our travels now that I've dusted and washed them all. My most recent purchase in Florence was a set of three - a miniature pack of pasta, a bottle of wine and a pack of Parmesan cheese. How the dog got hold of the pack of pasta I'll never know, but she broke the pack open and ate half the pasta and apparently the small magnet on the back. It's only a tiny one and it's the only metal she's eaten so I'm not taking her to the vet for it.
Flying: I've cleaned the shower room including the shower, which is the job I dislike the most, stripped the superking now that the musician has left but I can't wash the bedding because the forecast isn't good enough, and vacuumed the bottom layer. Beloved has done the rest of the house and made me breakfast.
We've changed our eating habits this week because we both need to lose a bit of weight, so we've meal planned over breakfast (we're having Sunday's 'off' so I could have butter on my toast to go with my boiled eggs) and this week we've both managed to shed just over a kilo. I've got a fair few to go because of my cheese and chocolate habit.

Afternoon all. Both beds changed and remade and I've got it all dried on the line, along with a load of clothes. Just one thing still out there which is almost dry. Dead headed the garden this morning, I looked at the grass but it really isn't quite ready to be cut. Trouble is by the time it is it will probably be raining. Doesn't look like a very good week ahead, although the week after looks more promising. Unless they're lying to me. Again.
Bathroom and toilet thoroughly cleaned. Hate that job. Roast dinner cooked and eaten. Kitchen all cleared away.
Took DD2's dog out for a walk and my feet ache now so it's time to sit down. Unfortunately that often means they've seized up when I get up again. The joys of being 73.
Hope everyone's OK x
