    Today I

    • woke up much earlier than I really wanted to
    • did WM/TDx1
    • S&S'd kitchen
    • PUPA all through - except for the spare bedroom/study - and made my bed
    • took Rosie to the vet: more tablets prescribed, but to be kept in case she starts licking her feet again when the vets is shut, eg on a weekend
    • walked Rosie up the lane and met two people who I hadn't seen for ages, so we chatted
    • started to do Rosie's insurance claim but couldn't find one vital piece of paperwork, so I…
    • had to clear my desk and check in the filing cabinet, where I found what I was looking for, plus…
    • mobile phone paperwork dating back to 2010!!! which I shredded
    • cadged a lift from DH into town, so that I could go to the U3A monthly meeting (parking nearby is a problem), then…
    • walked slowly across town to the bus station to catch a bus to our local horse piddle, now re-branded as a "local diagnostic centre"
    • had my right shoulder and right knee x-rayed - however, in the time it took to get this appointment my left shoulder and left knee have got considerably worse and they really need to be x-rayed too.
    • did some knitting whilst watching old University Challenge and Only Connect programmes, after which I cba to do any more admin.

Tomorrow is another day. If it's not pouring with rain we might go out.

Birmingham likes to surprise visitors. Valli. It's full of hidden gems - and not just in the Jewellery Quarter! Glad you enjoyed your trip, especially the Pre-Rapahaelites. I ❤️ Ozzy the Bull.

So far this morning I have loaded the DW, showered and dressed, and undone 9 rows of holey pattern and re-knitted them. DH had been waiting for a call back from the GP surgery; he hasn't got an appointment but the doctor has prescribed various meds including ABs and cream for a swollen, weepy leg. We were planning to go out for the day, but reconsidered the wisdom of going a long way and instead will have to lunch at a local GC where Rosie is welcome and I can get a couple more tomato plants and compost (I need to get the mini greenhouses set up). Afterwards we'll call in at the PYO farm shop just down the road to buy some strawberries and rhubarb.

A cuppa next, and then I'll have another go at Rosie's insurance claim.

    xxx

Despite my aching ankles I have stripped my bed, done a washload and handwashed one item; they're on the line, and I have ironed.

Walked Wren, signed some forms to do with local elections (I hope that's the last of it this year), renewed my library book and discovered why my account had suddenly been blocked (paid off the overdue fines - oops), paid for the work that had been done to the communal garden gate posts, did a bit more work on my accounts which are out of date so I don't know exactly where I am at the moment, had endless interruptions which have stopped me making real progress, scrubbed out the bird bath and refilled it, and refilled the sunflower hearts and fat sticks, and heard that Belovéd's health issue is no more serious than we had hoped - so we may be popping champagne tonight to celebrate.

I MUST write some now very overdue thank you notes.
