thanks @lucielle.
One of last week's lunches was paid for by my aunty as a thank you for helping her do her power of attorney. It was a nice surprise and we did try to resist but she was adamant. I am now hers and her husband's PoA though.
The other lunch was convened to discuss the continuing family saga that rumbles overseas. It got a bit tetchy over lunch but I followed advice from a former boss to adopt a cat like face which masks the storm of emotions whirring away. Anyway we all ended up in agreement and united in our strategy to try and make progress. €thousands have been spent by us but all relevant taxes and bills are now paid and there's £20 left in the budget 🤣

I am picturing a hissing cat but that's probably not what your ex-boss meant!
Glad to hear you all ended up in agreement about the family saga, sorry to hear the pot is so depleted but well done for having it in the first place!

Sometimes you have to speculate to accumulate, and accumulating the scuzzins being put in their place once and for all is money well spent 🥂

@Wanna_Bee_Free - the cat face is meant to be the look when the cat stares at you with an unreadable expression that could mean you are in their good books but possibly not. I think a hissing cat face is probably appropriate for the overseas relatives but might even be too subtle for them. Thanks PIP and Lucielle.
Pinch, punch 1st of the month.
I've looked back over September which I've classified as late Summer so that Autumn is shorter.
Overall we did ok with a grocery underspend wiped out by an eating out overspend. We were out and about for a few middle of the day appointments which caused MrBC to apparently come close to starvation and in need of an immediate lunch at the cafe. I think better planning will help with this and I'm going to focus on this for October.
As it's been so warm we have continued to build up credit with 🐙 which is reassuring.
I hope that the last Euros have now been paid out. Perhaps some money will return this way in due course but I'm not holding my breath.
My round up, survey, vinted etc pot reached £250 which I've sent to my s&s ISA.
Best of all though September's pixie dust was sprinkled like this
Book, biscuits and Bakewell Brew teabags sent to a friend who really struggles at this time of year
A little gift for each of the book group I go to (12 little pressies)
paid for a school holiday activity for one of the little grandkidsTake away pizza funded when the teen grandkids got together
I rounded up the remaining money to £10 and sent to a local cat rescue
I still thoroughly enjoy pixie dusting 🧚♂️

That is a lovely array of spends. I think September can definitely be classed as late summer this year - it’s been unseasonable warm where we are today for sure!
PBs £3050 (including £1k EF & £1k Christmas fund)

It doesn’t seem 5 minutes since we were all commenting on August’s pixie dust sprinkles. Another month gone in a flash! Yet again a lovely distribution of it.
Fingers crossed that’s the last time you have to fund the overseas contingent 🤞
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping) -.literally have been run over by a bike, mobility scooter and a car - still here 💪0 -
Great pixie dust sprinkles especially the cat rescue.
