Balancing the books

Seems like quite a few of us were on the Isle of Wight. We got back this afternoon after a week over there. Didn't see the red squirrels unfortunately but would have loved to have seen them.

how funny that a few of us were there. It's one of our favourite getaway from it all trips. The squirrels were in the botanic gardens in Ventnor but I think we would have missed them if we hadn't been tipped off by fellow visitors. We've also seen them at the garlic farm where feeders are set up for them so it's easier to spot them but less of a natural environment.

Yes EH we saw the vintage buses and in fact we were at the aviation museum (a great free museum) when a bus dropped off some passengers.

I'm still eeking out late summer and we went for a walk and took a picnic and a flask with us today, it is chilly in the evenings but the heating hasn't gone on yet despite MrBC saying he was feeling cold last night. This was while he was lying on the sofa resplendent in pants and t shirt - no socks baby 😉
