I have heard that theres a new cost of living payment this summer?
Im not sure how accurate this is so wondering if anyone can confirm or not and if like the other COL payments will be disregarded for Universal Credit?

WWhere have you heard that? As far as I'm aware there has been no legislation proposing any such payment.

Thanks.
I saw a clip on YouTubeI think. But not sure if correct?

I haven't seen anything regarding this, any costs would be factored into the April payments. And nothing in Touchbase updates.

You might have heard about this cost of living support
No additional UC payments announced so far as I can tell from the reports.

The only thing I could find was a 'proposal' to give free bus passes to children aged 5 to 15 over the summer, and the price capping of a small number of essential foods. Nothing to get excited about.

Indeed, especially as the "essential" foods mentioned in the breakfast time news were chocolate, crisps and biscuits.
I suppose now we have access to mounjaro and wegovy we no longer need to worry about obesity.

Since the question was asked I went looking, in addition to what has already been mentioned I noticed an announcement on reducing/removing import tariffs on certain foods, the full list of which to be announced next week.
Also a twelve month road tax holiday for hauliers.
I have to say the discussions around capping the price of essential foods is bizarre

I do feel everything should be done to encourage children to walk less.
Let's Be Careful Out There1 -
If they can take the bus it means walking to and from the bus stops and doing whatever activity wherever they're going, rather than being driven door-to-door (which also costs petrol for whomever's driving them). Particularly if they're getting the bus into a town, where they're likely to wander around and do a few things instead of, again, being driven door-to-door.
