2 parents claiming UC for children

What people say and what is the reality are very often 2 totally different things.
If you are getting the correct amount of UC plus other benefits for your your children, I'd just let it go.

I would certainly ask UC to check as you have been told he is claiming for children he has no contact with. At best you could be preventing a serious fraud, at worst it's just him trying to look the big man. Once they have his full name, date of birth, and National Insurance number if you have that. It's a job of seconds for a check to be made.

And what can of worms for the OP might this open…?
If what huckster has posted (above) is correct this person can't claim UC.
There must be some reason the father isn't named on the childrens birrh certificate.

The correct route to do this would be via an (anonymous) benefit fraud report. UC will not entertain speaking with the OP about another persons benefit claim.
If the person does then have a UC claim and is claiming for the children, UC can investigate and take the appropriate action.
