This welding machine from a Chinese online seller shipped from a warehouse in the UK has the fuse bridged with wire from the factory , is this legal to be sold in the UK ?

You say it's bridged with wire; is it just a strip of aluminum, which is a fuse?

Jurisdiction Limitations: Trading Standards can generally only investigate businesses located within the UK. If the seller is entirely based in China, Trading Standards usually cannot take direct legal action against them.

Probably not legal, but when buying from a Chinese business, your ability to enforce anything is practically nil. This is a perfect example of why it's a false economy to buy cheap versions of things from overseas.

That's a 8 amp ceramic fuse automotive fuse not used in the uk for years don't know about anywhere else

Fact it came from a UK warehouse, which may just be a fulfilment center.
