Hi. I've recieved a letter of claim last month from dcblegal and just today I have received the claim form.

I have done these in the past.I know to log in to MCOL complete the AOS and then I read to use the meltof defence template .

All I want to ask as I've forgotten (haven't done this for a while ) what else I can do .

This parking charge is from 2023 all I can remember I payed for a parking ticket on the app for 2 hours, then I forgotten to extend it ,I also remember I received a letter showing a CCTV picture of my car entering and exiting the car park .

I have ignored all the letters so far, didn't appeal it .it's been quiet since no letters nothing until last month where I got the letter before claim .

Should I ask them for the SAR request if its not too late ?

Claim Issue date :15 May 2026

Just use the @Meltof defence in the Smart Parking Claim Defence Group thread(search and ye shall find).

Then follow the easy 8 steps in the Template Defence thread. We never link it. You have two hyperlinks to page one on this page already. See my signature below:

With an issue date of 15/05/26 and providing you complete(d) the AoS before or on 03/06/26 your defence deadline date is 4.00 p.m. on 17/06/26

I want to send the defence today. However, I am a bit confused ,I had a look at my previous defences and the process. I always filed the Defence by email, I see it has changed now and it is done on MCOL - Response form.

Do I know just copy the @Meltof defence just all the points or I need to modify it and add the "In county court between "myname" and "claimant" and statement of truth my signture date in the bottom of the defence.

No modifications needed, its all done for you, copy and paste as is, all 11 paragraphs, into the start defence box on MCOL, save and submit, no need to wait

In most cases, defendants have no legal grounds to pay for and submit a counter claim , so i doubt it

I received the Claimant's Directions Questionnaire by email from " Bulk Litigation ".

Now, should I get my done using the N180 form and send it or do I wait for the letter first?

You should wait until your MCOL claim history shows that the CNBC have posted yours out to you

Then follow the 8 steps in the defence template thread in announcements

Wait for your own copy of the DQ - N180 to come by post OR check the status page on MCOL and, when you see it has been sent to you, then download it from the GOV.UK site, complete it and send by email to the address in the template defence thread.
