  • I've managed to reserve 2 at my local store. Do you think they will refuse to give me the goods when they notice their mistake? Is it safer to get goods delivered and pay the £4.95 p & p?

If you look at the previous thread on this you'll see people had mixed results at their stores. The best tactic seemed to be to go along, armed with proof of the price of course, just before they close. They'll be in a hurry to lock up and go home and so won't want to get into a long "discussion".

    Good post.

Thanks for the thread. I have just ordered 2, but thought it safer to pay for home delivery. Fingers crossed!

There are some available at the Teesside Retail Park, if anyone is interested, coming up at the £4.99 price.

Edit: I've noticed that sometimes it comes up at the full price - I tried to check stock a second time and it did that, but just went back a page and retried and it changed back to £4.99.

ordered two at £4.99 and went for delivery option total £9.84.

it went through to the order confirmation stage when it said there was a problem with the order and they will contact me shortly but may take a few hours.

wish I had printed that screen as I went back to check all my details were correct and they were. No problems ordering anywhere else off the internet.

dont want to risk another order as two will do.

I missed out on this before. I printed it off and went to the store near closing time but got no where with a very unhelpful Manager who even quoted me the wrong in store price too and refused to sign the order form to say they were not supplying me with the goods on the order at that price, and would not even sign to confirm the price she said was in store either. It was a valid reservation order. Trading standards were interested but in the end I felt it was just not worth the time and money it were costing and with the manager refusing to sign anything was just my word against theirs.

complained about her attitude and got no where with customer services so maybe they have a long memory, am not feeling too confident over this now.

  • I ordered 4 for home delivery and 4 for store pick-up thinking I might have a better chance of getting one lot. Ordered the home delivery ones last night with no problem. However, I have an e-mail this morning to say they are out of stock. I'm disappointed and looking at other people's experience of collecting from the store, I don't think I'll bother. I can't see anyone getting away with it this time.
