HillStreetBlues We're getting into semantics now of how the CASS interprets a switch start date (which we know) and how Lloyds/BoS may interpret a start date (which I don't know, maybe you do?). I haven't seen any such reference in their T&Cs about what a start date means to them.

I just know that if I were refused a switching bonus due to Lloyds or BoS using different meanings, such as for start date, without explicitly explaining those meanings in the T&Cs, I would be filing a complaint.

I don't think it's unreasonable for people to associate the meaning of start date with the CASS meaning of start date, in the absence of any alternative defined meaning.

I'm don't think it's semantics as matters if someone is entitled to the incentive. Currently offer ends on the 29th June, On the 29th June a person could apply but put a date of the 10th July. If the start date was the start of the actual switching service start date would be about the 3rd July so wouldn't get the incentive.

Like you I would put in a complain if that was refused as RoS doesn't make it clear what it means (Ombudsman likes it to be clear).

OK, I think we're just going to have to respectfully disagree on this one. At the end of the day, neither your nor my opinions matter. We'll just have to see what happens over the course of this offer.

Yes, here we are in full agreement. 😁
