Parking fine

sorry new to the forum and it seems I hijacked someone’s thread , didn’t know what I was doing. Don’t know if anyone can help but is there any chance of me not paying a fine when I parked car in pub/restaurant disabled bay that said customers only. When reaching the door the pub was closed so went a few doors away for a meal and returned soon after and have now received PCN from Civil enforcement .Thanks

Can you get someone to take photos of the disabled bay and lack of t&cs signs legible from the driver's seat?

Don't park in the car park to get the pics!

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks , it wasn’t just the disabled bay it was the whole car park for customers only.I did try to go into the pub but it was closed so we went elsewhere and came back in an hour or so. I am not local as was there for my grandsons cup final so didn’t know the pub is shut on Mondays and Tuesdays, as I found on line ,and it was a Tuesday. I tried to appeal but none of the reasons on their portal applies and it doesn’t give opportunity for anything else. It will only accept appeals on their portal applies portal so I don’t know what to do. I don’t really just want to ignore it as I’m concerned

You've missed the point. Never mind the whole car park.

The Code of Practice says that accessible bays MUST have a full t&cs sign readable from the driver's seat when using such a bay.

I'm telling you: there wasn't such a sign. And you must simply get photos to prove that. It wins at POPLA.

You aren't choosing one of their stupid appeal reasons. Just tick 'other' or anything. State what I told you to say. NOTHING MORE.

Nothing about your grandson's cup final and nothing about not knowing the pub is shut on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Then in the next week or so, go and get photos in readiness for POPLA evidence of no full t&cs signs in the disabled bays.

Thanks very much for that but there is no”other” or anything on the appeal form and nowhere to type in any explanation. I live 120 miles away and my grandson doesn’t live anywhere near there to take photos he was just playing football there . Sorry to drive you mad

As I said, choose anything (obviously I don't mean the word 'anything').

It doesn't matter which you choose and of course it lets you type my words in once you choose an option.

State what I told you to say. NOTHING MORE.
