I know, it's hard, the oap on the list also are set in there ways enjoy there money weekly and have there rent paid no issues, not sure how there pension works and maybe don't need the headache, If the will, maker intention to leave one inside it should have been left to one and not three,

Or left to one then if sold distribute four ways,

What the will states is you all ( as beneficiaries) have entitlement to the sale proceeds of the property, not the property itself.

Might not seem much of a distinction, but coupled with the executors/ trustees right to postpone such a sale it does mean that legally the administration of estate is not complete until such sale occurs.

In the meantime executors have power and are permitted to make interim distributions on account of estate cash available subject to settling any outstanding debts and liabilties. Your solicitor will advise in more detail.

I just want to add that in my case, the relevant property is soon to go on the market and so the estate can be finally wound up, and so can the estate of the son. The Adult grandchild is planning on moving out, but is in a much better position to do so than they were 12 years ago. I am mightily relieved that it is all going to be over soonish, as I did not want it dragging on through another generation.

It really is the best solution and if not done now, you will all wish it had been further down the line.
