Jet2 flight delay due to adverse weather knock on effect

I had a 4.5 hour delay from Rhodes to Gatwick, the cause being adverse weather on an earlier flight from Reus. I’ve heard that the knock on effect to our flight might mean we qualify for compensation. Has anyone had success with this?

  • Hi

Believe I was on same flight LS3174 on 15th May.

Having looked at flight history of our plane G-HLYI it appears that this was not delayed on previous flight.

Whilst sitting in the airport I did Google it and the above could have been a replacement for our original plane G-SUNU (not sure how accurate this is) which was only delayed the previous day.

I have submitted a claim and says will have to wait up to 4 weeks for decision.

Will update when I hear back.
