I just signed up for this newsletter (no purchase made) and they immediately told me I won a £50 voucher, so I suspect everyone who enters gets a "prize".

Upon further digging, it isn't a voucher at all, it's a promo code. And it's only valid in the "Things to Do" section so you can't use it to book a hotel, it's the usual pay using their various affiliate links for hotels.

Not likely. They don't want anyone else winning a Snickers Bar or 5p of Nectar points if it stops them achieving their 100 wins in May.

I have tried sharing text comps, purchase product comps, phone in comps, raffle comps, bingo promotion type comps, raffle type comps, charity raffle type comps, paid lottery type comps but I was constantly criticised so I don't bother now.

This forum is only for free competitions, we have a small section for paid competitions but they have to meet a certain criteria, such as only costing £2.10 or under to enter, not signing up for subscriptions etc. otherwise it's not really classed as "MoneySaving" (and kind of ignores the point of this site). The types of competitions you've listed would come more under gambling than comping in my opinion 😐️
