Cookie pop-ups

Hi all (especially mods and staff),

Lately I have noticed that when using the app, switching from one topic or following a shortcut/link, this prompts a pop-up asking for my cookie preferences.

I select "essential only" each time, yet each click on a link results in a new cookie pop-up window asking me again.

This is more than annoying. One pop-up to ascertain overall preference is ok, but repeating this each time you move to a link or new topic to read is overkill.

Could this be looked into and changed?

Alternatively, if there's a tech fix to prevent this, that would be great.

I am on a Samsung S20 FE 5 g with the latest Android and the latest app version as per Play store.

We're not aware of any current issues with the popup.

Could you, if you know how, check your device setting to see if you are allowing MSE to store cookies?

If your device isn't accepting the 'Functional' cookie, then it might not have permission to store on your device that you've dismissed the banner and don't need to see it again.
