Getting from Longstay South Carpark to North Terminal Gatwick

Seems like you still arent understanding… I get that they are parking at Gatwick South Long Stay, the Marriot hotel is based at the south terminal.
Therefore the logical progression is…
Park in South CP
Free bus to South T
Walk to Hotel
Sleep in Hotel
Walk to South T
Monorail to North T
Take flight
The OP however is asking how to get to North terminal from the South carpark so are they planning of not taking their bags to the hotel and want to check them in the night before? Are they leaving the hotel, going back to their car for some reason and then heading off to the flight?

I'm back from my holiday now, thanks very much, had a lovely time.
We stayed overnight at Courtyard Marriott, parking in the hotel carpark. The hotel is immediately next door to the South Longstay carpark. Slept in the hotel. Moved the car to Longstay South the following morning before catching the bus to South terminal. Found out it only services South terminal, so caught the monorail to the North.

To provide a definitive answer to this thread based on an actual real life experience, this week I have travelled from the North Long Stay to the North terminal, and back
The bus does NOT go to the South Terminal @Slinky. The same will therefore apply to the South Long Stay bus not going to the North. You will need to go upstairs (assume it will be upstairs at South, been a decade since Ive used it) and get the shuttle monorail thing.
