Getting from Longstay South Carpark to North Terminal Gatwick
Staying at the Courtyard Marriott with parking in Long Stay South, but flying from North terminal. It mentions online that there's a shuttle bus from the carpark to the terminal but doesn't say whether it just goes to South terminal or whether it goes to both. Trying to establish if we will need to get the shuttle train thing between the terminals.

Would assume it just goes to South, I have a booking next week in the "North Terminal Long Stay Car Park" so assume the bus only goes to the North as it actually say Terminal in the name of the car park.

The hopper service goes to both and both services (GH1 and GH2) stop at your hotel.

Located just a 2-minute drive from Gatwick South Terminal and 5 minutes from the North Terminal, we’re an ideal choice for convenient airport access. No car? Use the Gatwick Hoppa Bus (£5.25 PP) for easy transport to the terminals.

Thanks but we're not going from the hotel to the terminal, we're going from the long stay south car park to the north terminal.

Then why mention the hotel?

To provide context as to why we are parking in the south terminal car park. Otherwise you would be asking why aren't we partking in the north terminal car park. The reason we are staying in that hotel and that car park is because it was a package deal.
I thought I explained it clearly enough, but apparently not.

I would be 99% sure this is the case though, Gatwick clearly market their car parks as either North or South, the vast majority of people would be using a car park that matches the terminal and having buses run to both terminals would surely be a waste of time.
Worst case scenario is you get on the bus and it only goes to the South and you have to get the connecting train thing, its not the end of the world.

If you are parking in the South Terminal Long Stay car park the shuttle bus service only runs to the South terminal (ditto for North terminal).
You would need to catch the shuttle bus to South terminal, walk into South terminal, then follow signs to the monorail to the North terminal. All are free of charge.

Well you said you were staying at the Marriott but now say you arent going to the hotel. Most will have assumed you will park up, stay at the hotel, go from the hotel to the terminal the next morning.
The free option is to take the bus from Long Stay to T2 and then use the inter terminal transfer monorail

But the package doesnt include "parking at the hotel". It includes parking at one of Gatwicks car parks. Assuming he gets the one night parking at the hotel and then the morning of the flight he has to move it to the South Car Park.
He was merely explaining WHY he was parking at the South Car Park when the flight leaves from the North Terminal but some posters have misunderstood why he included this info….
