I'm not sure the fan will work and is viable.
Who are the "experts" to ask? It seems very hard to get an impartial opinion as the only experts seem to be selling one or other system. Council/govt (my wife is dealing with this so not sure) wanted £400 to come and look but they recommended a free option who we are trying to get in touch with.

No idea how reliable it is, but you could choose "other" for the building and room types in this calculator, then add the dimensions of your room and see what it suggests :

I’ve tried similar calculators and got similar answer to this one. The room is too big. It’s around 8mx6m, half is about 8ft ceiling, half varies from 10 up to 18.

You should consider fans in that tall ceilings to blow the heat back down that has been mentioned before for people with tall ceilings.

I mentioned a fan (I think!!) but not heard anyone absolutely confirm it s a good idea and I've asked various people I know with vague expertise and received mixed responses.

I have newish Elnur storage heaters (installed 18 months ago) in a relatively large bungalow, and they work fine, including one room that is 8.3m x 5.5m (have two heaters in this room), but other rooms including a 4m x 6.4m space only have one. They rarely need to do the top-up at peak rate (~10 days/year at coldest time) with the overnight charging lasting all day otherwise.
You just need to size the heaters correctly to the room, and online calculators can do this for you.
Dimplex calculator is mentioned above and the Elnur link is
