Cheap Energy Club Cashback

I've looked at the ASA /USwitch case.
I have a case reference number and will wait to see the decision on the CEC.
I won't be updating on here until I have a ruling from the ASA.
Sorry to gatecrash the OP's thread.
Who knows, it may be positive news?
I still think the CEC is advertising false rates for their tariffs, which are incorrect if they fail to pay the cashback advertised.

Good for you for taking the initiative and doing something about it! I would never have thought of taking this up with the ASA. Thank you, I will follow your lead and do likewise. I had written the cashback off tbh. Let’s see if we get anywhere!

Great!
Read the USwitch case and work it out. Good luck. 😊

PS - The silence from the CEC / MSE is deafening, which is why I won't give anything away.

Bump
If you switched to receive cashback via the Cheap Energy Club but never received your cashback, make a complaint via the Advertising Standards Authority ( ASA).

It doesn't seem unique to the Energy supplier to blame as there are at least switches to British Gas, Fuse and E.ON Next, here.

I note in the weekly email just out, under 'do a true energy comparison' , it still isn't a true energy comparison.
They are advertising the AVG cost is x % less than the current price cap when £20 MSE duel-fuel price cap is included. It clearly states this and it's misleading consumers, in my opinion. The operative word being 'when'. They should state the cost without cashback.
I've had a look on the ASA website and they update on Wednesdays. It takes 15 days for a response from them.
