PCP - SMS scam with leaked personal info

I've had a text from an outfit giving a name of "REFUND PCP" from phone number 733863727 (some sort of special code) claiming they've tried to contact me. They haven't just got to my phone number by randomly picking the number, they also quote the reg no of my car. This means that some firm that has both my phone number and my car reg has leaked my personal info (who? insurer, DVLA, garage…?). So look out for anything like this. I've reported it to the ICO.

Do you have any outstanding mis sold PCP claims with a management company?

Did you ever (even years ago) fill in one of those "Are you owed thousands of pounds" web flyers?

Now that there has been some movement on the whole mis selling saga the chancers and scammers have started fishing, looking to cash in on people's FOMO concern.
