Cash in a S&S ISA ?
I intend to open a Nationwide fixed rate cash ISA.
I want to fund this via a transfer from my Scottish Widows S&S ISA, currently the funds are in a Royal London short term money market fund, when I sell this fund it will be a cash balance in the account, would that then be a cash ISA to cash ISA transfer or a S&S ISA to cash ISA transfer, since technically although cash it’s in a S&S ISA.
Thank you.

It would be S&S to Cash but should be just as quick as a Cash to Cash transfer.

Worth noting that a cash transfer from a S&S ISA to a cash ISA does not need to adhere to the same time limits as are in place for cash ISA to cash ISA transfers.

I’ve just noticed on the Nationwide transfer form when asked to select current provider it lists Scottish Widows Bank PLC . but not Scottish Widows investment platform, these are actually different companies although both owned by Lloyds . How would or is it possible to transfer from the investment platform to Nationwide?

Looking online, e.g. at , it implies you will need to arrange the transfer in branch. Online transfers seem to be limited to cash ISA to cash ISA transfers.
