Yeah they've managed to lure me back in exchange of cashback! I'd transferred very thing out so they've confirmed I qualify for all their new customer promotions.

Were any of the funds you transferred out from HL, ever transferred in to get a cashback?

I had the impression that customers transferring in to HL for a cashback, and then transferring out again as soon as the lock in period ended, were blackballed for new promotions.

I think my HL ISA went to a different provider a while back and now I'm transferring in form Barclays. So I don't know how it can tracked?

I would think ( for example) my details are still in HL's system somewhere, and marked as someone who took a £1000 cashback and then left them asap ( after only paying about £65 in charges).

Well I'll be tied in until next March and this pay £150 fee. And I have a secure message confirming my eligibility. So what other confirmation do I need?

I will hold them to it next year if they refuse cashback

A secure message confirming your eligibility is all you need. I'd be tempted to return but the only transfer out I did that isn't locked up in another cashback deal is one where I'm relying on ISA flexibility.

There aren't any other offers on now so I thought I may as well hold part of my ISA with HL and be paid for it! I just missed the freetrade 5 April deadline with this chunk of the ISA

And that message was exactly what I got from HL here. It's my usual MO anyway, I am suspicious about some of these rinse and repeat transfers, even where they don't explicitly rule you out.

Always better to get a positive confirmation, in response to an innocuous innocent enquiry about the promotion…🤣
