ISA transfer gone into 2026/2027
I made a bank transfer from my current account into an opened ISA on the 3rd April, but noticed that it's not showing on the account until the 7th, making it a 2026/2027 ISA. I've been in touch and they say that they only process transfers during working hours. I thought this would go instantly into the account, at least on Saturday the 4th.

It depends on the bank or building society in question - who is the ISA provider ? It's not uncommon for some to only process deposits or withdrawals during the working week and sometimes that can be on a 'next working' day basis.
Unfortunately, your efforts to ensure the payment was made before the end of the tax year were hampered by the long bank holiday weekend and payments made to or from one of those banks would mean that even a payment made on Thursday 2nd April wouldn't have been credited until Tuesday 7th.

Most providers make it clear on their websites when their deadline is for ISA contributions to be paid in order to be processed before the change of tax year, and, as above, the issue was exacerbated this year by the long Easter weekend.

How did you make the payment? Typically only debit card transactions would be safe to make at such a late stage as these are treated as being received when the payment is authorised by the customer.
