Couldn't validate vehicle reg. Parking charge.

All the advice is for not admitting you're the driver and only the keeper.
I had to admit I was the driver because the vehicle was owned by my boss and I didn't want him getting the constant letters.
What is the advice and defence in this case?

Scroll down the newbies sticky thread to post 5 to see what the initialisms and initials mean
If you have admitted to being the driver in order to swing it away from your boss, did YOU receive a postal PCN with your name and address on it ? Meaning that they are chasing you and not your boss. ?
If the answer is yes, then you still use the LoC response template to reply to any LoC/LBC , because that doesn't change anything
You also IGNORE any powerless debt collectors letters, because they are irrelevant
If you get a Money Claim N1SDT pack in the future, your defence will use the defence template thread in announcements near the top of the forum, but until you show us the redacted picture of the POC from the lower left of the claim form below then we cannot say what the exact defence in your paragraph 3 will be, but your paragraph 2 would end with and driver ( after the last word, which was keeper) , so Keeper and driver
As this is a CEL case, you will probably be using the Chan and Akande defence template post as your paragraph 3

I did use my name as driver.
I've had plenty of debt collection letters which I have ignored.
There is a standard financial statement form in with the LBC. Do I ignore that also?
I didn't ask the establishment I visited, that didn't have a vehicle validation system on the premises to cancel the ticket. It is a pizza/kebab takeaway shop. Is it too late to ask them to cancel it now there is a LBC? I will call them when they open this afternoon (I'm currently 50+ miles from there!) and see what they say.

You don't need to fill in any of their financial forms.

I've just got off the phone with the business owner. He's going to try and cancel the ticket. Apparently he's been trying to get a parking validation system off the landowner for ages. So this should add evidence to his claim. Of course the landowner could be hoping punters rack up PCNs in order to make money. So they might still fob them off.

The landowner is unlikely to make any money from PCNs. That's not the usual MO.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Business owner has got back to me. Apparently He had to apply to cancel the ticket within 28 days of it being issued. But CEL have said I can pay the original £100 instead of the £170 it currently stands at.
So I guess I continue with the defence.

Yes - ignore that poor offer.
CEL are discontinuing all defended low value (single PCN) claims now anyway so it will simply be a matter of following the 8 steps in the Template Defence thread.
