Doesn't look like the uninstallation tool on the F-Secure site will work either:
"Warning: The Uninstallation Tool 3.0 does not remove F-Secure products that have been installed in an unsafe location, such as c:\Windows, c:\Documents and settings, c:\Program Files, etc. This is done to avoid loss of important customer data during the uninstallation."
I'm at a loss! Looks like i may have to call someone in?
Did you try running this removal tool? Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
I haven't yet espresso, as the folder i'm having problems with is in c:\Program Files. Is it worth a go?0

Thanks Browntoa and Espresso - didn't break it, i had to hurry out!
I've managed to remove F-Secure, but AVG still wont install without freezing the PC. I've got Ad-Aware installed - could it be something to do with this?
Thanks again for all your help this morning!0 -

Another problem, so haven't tried to install the free version yet.
On start-up now, i have an error message: 'fsdfwd.exe has had to close' blah blah. I've done a quick search on Yahoo! and it looks to be something installed by F-Secure's firewall, BUT advice seems to be to leave it alone.
Since i'm trying to get rid of F-Secure, am i safe to delete it?
(Seems TalkTalk Online Security is as bad as Norton...)0 -
Forgot to say, this file seems to be located in the Windows/Prefetch folder.0

Yes that is probably why your AVG won't install. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
