Can't install new AV, help me delete TalkTalk Online Security

I've recently purchased AVG Internet Security Home Edition, as our free trial with TalkTalk Online Security (F-Secure) ran out.
Both times i've attempted to install AVG, My PC has frozen upon re-starting and ive had to enter safe mode to delete it. I've been told this is because i haven't fully removed F-Secure.
I ran the uninstaller, which seemed to work. I've ran CCleaner too. Its dissappeared from my Start Menu, but there's still a folder in Program Files - when i attampt to right click and delete, i'm met with 'Cannot Delete AVPFPIO.dll: Access is denied'.
How can i rid my PC of this AV software fully so i can properly install my new one?
Any help greatly appreciated!

or this
unregister the dll
c:\>windows\system32\regsvr32 sslCom.dll /u /s (you need to change the path and the DLL but you get the idea)Ex forum ambassador

Thanks Browntoa. I'll try entering safe mode first (i should have thought of that really!) as i've never used Registry Editor before and am a bit unsure what to do.
Fingers crossed..0 -
Well i managed to delete AVPFPIO.dll, but when trying to delete the whole folder it said 'Cannot Delete fpshx.dll: Access Denied'.
:wall:

Hitting yet more brick walls.
I don't seem to have an 'unregister' option, so i've selected 'delete' instead. Unfortunately, when when i try and delete the file i've got to (avpproxy.dll), it says 'unable to delete all specified values'.0 -
is this the removal tool you used ??

I used the one which was already on my system, i assume it was installed initially.
However, the F-Secure Uninstaller didn't work. I used the 'TalkTalk Online Security' uninstaller - which does seem to have left F-Secure behind.
I'm getting worried, as i'm deleting files in the Registry Editor without really knowing what i'm doing, and am worried i'm going to cause damage to my system.
Doesn't look like the uninstallation tool on the F-Secure site will work either:
"Warning: The Uninstallation Tool 3.0 does not remove F-Secure products that have been installed in an unsafe location, such as c:\Windows, c:\Documents and settings, c:\Program Files, etc. This is done to avoid loss of important customer data during the uninstallation."
I'm at a loss! Looks like i may have to call someone in?0
