Downloading transactions from Barclays

Yes, I certainly had a Barclaycard only login at one point - I had the card long before I had a Barclays Bank account proper. Annoying for you but underneath it all Barclays can produce CSV and other export formats. I guess if it hasn't enabled this in its apps it's because it doesn't want to…

Like you I also had a separate Barclaycard online login which is now linked to my main Barclays online profile. I think I set up Barclays online banking first, then linked the Barclaycard some time later, and IIRC there were some hoops to jump through to make the linkage. I can still log in to the Barclaycard account online with the separate login details.
I set my dad up with an online account for his Barclaycard some years ago, and more recently did the same for his Barclays bank account. I've not yet found a way to add the Barclaycard account to the Barclays online profile - it hasn't linked automatically, and given some of the comments in this thread I wonder whether the facility to make that linkage has been removed now.
Not allowing new online registrations for Barclaycard accounts seems a backwards step. Not having access to Barclaycard information in Barclays bank account profiles (as an alternative) suggests to me they want to phase out online servicing of Barclaycards and go app-only.

Weird - mine is a bit different. I already had a Barclays app, and the Barclaycard got automatically added. Recently I registered for Barclays online banking and again can see all the accounts and Barclaycard. However, if I try to get any detailed information on the Barclaycard account, it tries to open the Barclaycard online account (which I don't have and can't register for).
I agree that they are probably keen to go app-only and I'm fine with that (from my understanding these are way more secure) but only if it is possible to download a transaction list!

Barclays has one of the heaviest front ends. The app has endless notifications and their online banking looks like it is competing with First Direct for 2005 vibes.
