Downloading transactions from Barclays

Hi - I recently opened an Avios Barclaycard.

I'd like to download a .csv file (or equivalent) of all transactions over a set period (e.g. prev calendar month) like I do with accounts I hold elsewhere, in order to run/analyse my budget.

However, I can't seem to do this. The Barclays App doesn't seem to allow it and when I go via the website it redirects me to the Barclaycard website, which is not taking new online registrations. I've not set up the Barclaycard App, so I guess it may be possible via that.

This seems like basic functionality, so after getting frustrated, I thought I'd turn here!

Having just checked the Barclaycard app, you don't appear to be able to download a CSV there - just like the Barclays app.

Recent conversation on Reddit suggests that there is no .csv download functionality from Barclaycard.

Suggestion is to download a PDF and use one of the many PDF to CSV conversion sites that are available online.

Ok - thanks. A bit annoying as I guess that will just be the statement (so not calendar months), and sometimes has weird formatting. I may just try copy/pasting or seeing if ChatGPT can clean it up.

Any reason why an app/online banking system wouldn't enable this? I guess not many people care, but surely quite a few business users (and some personal users like me) would want this functionality.

Via Barclays browser based internet banking it gives me the option to download CSVs for my Barclaycard. When I select my Barclaycard it takes me to a separate Barclaycard webpage with no additional login required: do you have a Barclays current account? If you do your Barclaycard is shown alongside your other Barclays accounts.

I don't see this page on my personal Barclays web access pages, but my BC is an Amazon one so may differ anyway.

No, a normal CC that I opened a long, long time ago. Its name is, "Platinum Visa." Despite trying to sound fancy I think it's the most bog standard version Barclaycard offers.

Yep, I have other Barclays accounts and online banking. I see the list of accounts, and when I click on the Barclaycard account it tries to link through to Barclycard webpage as you say. However, it then says I don't have a Barclaycard online banking account. When I tried to register for one, it said they don't do them anymore.

As you've had it for a while, I guess you registered for online Barclaycard banking when they still did them.

Barclaycard being same but different to other Barclays accounts is annoying.
