Santander ISA

  • Seems i should have filled in a form and either posted it or taken to a branch (nearest is 15 miles away) to transfer ISA internally.

My pc skills are not the best and i did not realise that internal transfers within Santander are treated as if external for some reason. However lesson learned and i am now in the process of moving my ISA's from Santander and know how to do so to avoid problems.

I don't think it's an internal/external issue as such, but just that in order to enact a transfer between ISAs without counting as new money, the receiving provider's ISA transfer process must be followed rather than simply moving the funds yourself.
