Yes I noticed that too, thought that was a good idea.

It is so so so awful. It's so unclear, not user friendly and a massive loss of functionality. I had my plans all planned out in terms of dates, budgets, etc. All interest free. All now completely unclear to me. I just don't trust it will magically know how to correctly apply my payments. Has anyone tried their webchat? (No response at all) Or their phone line (abomination of automated voice message loops, calls cut off and ZERO human operators)
I am just so sad and frustrated at the loss of a really canny payment management system that was so convenient. Those pie charts/dials on the old system showing all the right details for dates, interest free periods, balances easy payment options, all gone. 😭 Nothing their either for customer feedback which is really strange as everything these days asks for it! Its like they know its.....absolutely 💩
Once this is paid I will not use it again.

i think argos washed their hands of this, its all "New Day" - see their website about convenient ways to manage credit, seamless experiences etc etc 🤮🤬
The do John Lewis credit too so am curious what experiences those customers have....

I recommend reading the new terms and conditions to understand how the credit agreement works.
You should have received an email with the subject “Important – your Argos Card terms are changing”. https://documents.4rgos.it/v1/static/Argos_Pay_Agreement_20pp
Okay, some personalisation features have been removed but, in my opinion, the product is actually better.
If you have a BNPL plan, and didn't clear the balance it before the period ends they would charge deferred/backdated interest from when you made the purchase. See section 27 - 29 in the T&CS
Now from the switch over date any new BNPL plans don't change deferred interest, instead it moves the remaining balance to the standard balance charges you interest at the standard rate (34.9% - still very high). - So, it’s still best to clear the balance before it runs out. See section 8.2 & 8.3 in the T&CS
If you only have buy now pay later plans, payments will be applied to plans ending soonest. This is the same as before.
Most credit agreements work this way, applying payments to the highest interest balance first and then to promotional balances that end soonest. See section 13 in the T&CS
Hope this helps!
