There's a £30 Amazon voucher via MSE when opening an Edge account where you need to spend 5 times on the debit card. Would funding it with £10 (5 x £2 transactions) trigger this?

Or is it simply as long as you don't meet the specific requirements i.e £500 transfer in and 2 DDs?

it is £500 and 2 DDs. Debit card purchases or deposits alone won’t trigger the fee.
