Holding back on booking flights because of jet fuel shortages?

We are going to Greece in two weeks time ,i said to my wife if they run out of fuel it will be fun going home in a coach 😀😀😀

Of course we don't know yet if widespread shortages will hit and how it will play out. But I would expect cancellations due to fuel or airline costs will be more strategic than short notice.

I have 3 holidays booked this year.

2 to Europe, both packages.

1 fully paid for, one just deposit paid.

And 1 to Far East - not stopping at Middle East..

Flights booked and paid for, accommodation booked but can cancel without penalty.

Flights are now 50% higher than we paid.

Depending on airlines and routes, flight prices will often increase between launch and departure anyway, so the increases aren't necessarily entirely attributable to this year's challenges (not that you said they are!).
