I bought a chocolate yesterday for £1 today is £1.10. 10% raise with no notice.
Just an idea for another article!

Just reviewed this increase for me. (IOG)
While the S/C has gone from 61.740 to 63.440. It is still a penny under the Ofgem rate for our area.
Although the comment "Our cheapest electricity tariff is Flexible Octopus, you could save £108.23 a year by switching to it." Does not compute 😶🌫️
I find on our last bill that we used Total consumption 379.3kWh @ 17 .73p/kWh (average kWh price) Cost £87.75 (consistent all year, within +/- £10) Take into account new rates & that is a extra £10.
FO is currently 23.85 p kWh, so that would be 90.46 & 17.51 (SC) £107.97 for the same month.
Octopus can not give me a average annual usage on our electric, despite being with them over 2 years.
Life in the slow lane0 -
This caused us to look at fixing. It then turned out that EDF is cheaper and gives 7h cheap without all the hoop jumping. So we are leaving octopus for electricity after nearly 5 years.
