Electricity Supplier Rewards for Customers
So who really cares about supplier rewards? There are just too many and I'm not sure they really 'reward' customers in the long term.
Do you use them, are they the main reason to stay with a supplier and who are the best?

Are you in Northern Ireland? Some of those suppliers are NI-only.
I'm with Octopus and make some use of their Octoplus rewards scheme. I'm not quite as diligent as some forumites are at claiming the offers, but they're a nice little perk.

Yes, sorry :)
What do usually go for with the rewards scheme they offer?0 -
I'd rather have straightforward low prices always rather than smoke and mirrors.
Instead of Tesco offering something at Regular Price £5.00, Clubcard Price £2.49, I'll go to Aldi where it's £1.99 for everyone.

Fair point, although not sure where the smoke and mirrors analogy fits lol

It's designed to prevent things being a Known Value Item and to make it difficult to compare prices from several outlets.
Is it better to buy 3 for 2 and get 5p/litre off petrol, or to buy a BOGOF, or get 200 Nectar points? Hmmm… time's up !
Whereas if it's £5.49 at A and £4.99 at B then, easy peasy, everyone will just go to B. They don't want to make comparisons easy, they want everyone to think they've got a fantastic special deal when they really haven't.

Free Nero coffee from Octopus every week, which would otherwise cost £5.20. One each is up to £270's worth free each year, considerably more than my standing charge.
(Other coffees during the working week are free at work).

Any analogy involving smoke is best avoided when discussing gas & leccy.

Don't understand, Aldi doesn't have a so-called loyalty card and there are thankfully hardly any multibuys, so almost invariably every customer pays the same price for any given item.
