Have you followed up wikivorce yet. That's your starter.

How long until the younger one goes to nursery school?

And one thing, if she's taking the kids elsewhere for days at a time, are you keeping proper records of all the time they are absent from the home?

Even getting a divorce does not prevent you from living in the house, you just need the patience of a saint and then some.

If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing

You can get half an hour free advice from one lawyers.

Look into that and make a list of what you want to ask so that you don’t forget something.

If you want to sell the house you need to know likely value which is easy enough to find ot by looking at comparables in the area.

She would not be entitled to a 4 bed houuse with only two children neither would you so ideally if sharing childcae both of you would have 3 bed.

You really cannot afford a Mesher order as this could last until children 18.

You need to seek out a good family solicitor and arrange 30 mins free advice particularly as she is looking at things such as non molestation orders

Look at CSA website for an idea of how much you would need to contribute

"Unfortunately she's likely in the awkward situation if she earns very limit and is living off UC that she wouldn't be able to get a mortgage and probably knows if she did receive a large windfall, her UC would be stopped in the expectation that she uses it for living expenses till it's all gone."

She could keep the money to buy a house with, and still claim UC. The question is whether she could afford a house mortgage free, big enough for her and the children.
