Damp in boiler cupboard

That cupboard floor is 'wet'. The damp rising from this and causing all that efflorescence is considerable.
This surely is a leak.

I think I'll have to get the laminate up and see what's going on underneath.

If you can do this without too much damage, it may well expose the starting point of the leak.
If the laminate is flowing through from the kitchen, it's also possible the leak is from there, and travelling to the concrete floor low point which happens to be inside the cupboard. Water is cunning...
Good luck.

It WAS the condensate pump - the pipe had slipped off so the boiler water was just running straight into the floor 🫣🫨😵💫😵😫

Aww dont worry. 😁 Look on the bright side it is the easiet fix, and its not the chimney. Reconnect and clean up the mess and its all sorted.
It shouldn't really just have slipped off though. Might be an idea to get the plumber back to make sure its fitted correctly (and have a polite moan at the state of the cupboard).

Good point. Make certain it is secured using a suitable clip. Ask your GS if you are not certain.
How/why did it happen?
How long has this been going on for? Chances are there will be no long term issues, as the bricks will have neutralised most of it. But, I noticed a copper pipe passes through the wall, and condensate attacks copper. Almost certainly not an issue in this case.
Did you lift the flooring in the cupboard?
Would folk possibly recommend a 'neutralising' by, say, making up a solution of baking soda, and spraying it around, especially in around that copper pipe?

I just had a look at mine, I thought it was on a flexible pipe but was wrong. Its an inch wide white plastic pipe that connects under the boiler into a thick black rubber collar. I dont think theres anyway it could come loose. So wondering if your installer missed something?

Could be, I've got to get it replaced anyway, this has given me the push to do it 🫤🙃
