I emailed luton court where hearing was suppose to be before I posted about it being discontinued earlier then I re called main phone line and they contacted luton and said luton court were going to email me it today

they have not

so im going to turn up at the trial time and make a complain and ask for a copy of the discontinuation notice

this was before i posted and you advised me to email judge that made the order the order was made by

deputy district judge abrahams on the 28 of October 26 sitting at bedford county court and the trial date was set for tomorrow on 22 april at luton

where and how do i email that judge

this is what i sent to luton

URGENT claim No ========= hearing 22/april/26 at ==:==

Re claim ====== the trail was due to be herd on the 22/April/26 tomorrow at ==am
I contacted the courts enquiry line today on the 21st of April to sell if claimant has paid the trial fee and trial is going ahead tomorrow

And have been told that the case was discontinued back in September and no notice of discontinuance has been served on me either by claimant or buy the court.   The adviser at court check and confirmed that he can see no correspondence was sent to me.
Can you urgently confirm that the case had be discontinued and trial has been vacated as I have been told  and immediately send me a copy of the notice of discontinuance to me. 

Further more it was ordered by Deputy District judge Abrahams sitting County Court BedfordOn the28th of October 2025 that unless the claimant paid the trial fee by the by 4pm on the 25 march 2026 

The claimant is order  to pay my/ the defendants costs.

NB adviser at  courts equerry line confirmed that they can not find any indication of fee being paid.
Also note the claimant unreasonable behavior they are well know for wasting the courts time with thousands of scatter gun claims inflated claims
and discontinuing them when they are defended And have failed to even notified me they have discontinued the case

I wish  to claim 6 hours,   in total of legal research  and  writing my defence  and dealing with this claim and wasted time 2 hours of wasted time today   as they failed to inform me of discontinuance as a at a rate of £24 per hour (as of Oct 2025)       total £144 in cost.

Email NOW. Obviously just to the usual hearings or enquiries@ email for that court because you aren't going to find the judge's email listed anywhere!

If you are turning up don't just complain. Ask for 5 mins before a judge. Sit and wait until the ushers find one with a few minutes who will hear you on costs.

Take proof of costs, travel, time off, etc.

thanks im not working im a carer my partner is severely mentally impaired and has physical disability's and needs carer day and night

iv email court now re you advice

i was claiming 6 hours research and preparing all the paper work

and 2 hours on phone sorting out the mess and traveling to the court

and 4.4 mile driving and and parking

as for turning up i just dont trust there word over the phone to not get a default judgment without anything in writing so im going to go and i do that and ask to see a judge

you wont believe this one im going to be making a formal complait they still been no reply's to emails

i attended to court attempted to explain the situation too security politely they refused to let me past security into reception and waiting area

one particular one was extremely rude and aggressive. i stood firm but polite saying i had paper work stating there was a case and i need to speak to some one and make a formal complaint eventually i was told id have to stand there door way like a fool to a usher could be bothered while they let every one else in to waiting/seating area

i asked to be allowed to sit and wait as im disabled and in pain standing i have a a spinal deformity and chronic pain from scoliosis. they refused

i then ask politely to see there sia badge as i would now be making a complain about there conduct and breach of the equity act

they turned it back ward and hid so i could not see it i politely pointed they was unlawful not to show it to public. then they screamed at me i dont have i only have have round my neck

eventually another one came and finally listened they when and got a usher after a long wait still standing there

usher finally they gave me a copy of the discontinuance after i told them firmly but politely that im not going anywhere until i had in writing there is no trial

still standing in the entrance they flatly refused to listen or take a formal complaint or let mespeak to any one

iv never seen such unprofessional and discussing behavior from court staff in my life

now ic finally seen a notice of discontinuation apparently they discontinue was back on the 22nd of December 2025

There is no way no way I am putting up with how i was treated and the way they behaved to wards me yesterday. Ill take it all the way to MP and the parliamentary and heath service ombudsman.

Good for you. I was going to suggest involving your MP and for them to back up your formal complaint to HMCTS.

You can also report this to the EHRC for breach of the Equality Act 2010 as you should never have been left standing there.

And a complaint to the SIA.

By the way, congrats… you won!

good idea re EHRC im going to complain to the ICO about there refusal to take a subject access request

it was ridiculous refusing entry they can refuse entry to the public in county court hearing unless the judge has order it to be private let alone refuse you access to the waiting area and reception

it appears luton county court thinks they can stop any one entering that's does not have a case listed im tempted to get a large group together to go there and demand there right to observer hearings

iv never come across a public court that thinks it can stop the public entering open public hearings
