Valli - I'm really envious of your concert. I've seen Rick a few times and he is always fantastic. I'm definitely never gonna give him up 😉
We saw Eric Clapton last night - wow, just wow.
Back down to earth today with some toilet cleaning, hoovering and polishing. What a rock n roll life. Also hoovered but need to clean the hard floors tomorrow,

Evening all.
This morning I did WMx2 and hoovered the study again - lots of Rosie's fluff!
After an early lunch I went to visit DH, who said that the Dr had told him that he would be discharged soon as they really couldn't do any more for him in hospital than he could do at home, but he was still waiting for the physiotherapists' assessment. I left DH at 3pm, drove to the local old-hospital-now-outpatients'-centre for my blood tests (the phlebotomist took half an armful, I reckon), then came home. DH rang me within half an hour to say that he was being discharged and would be collected by hospital taxi at 6pm - and sure enough he was back here at 6.30. He is much better than he was a week ago but we all know that it is likely to happen again. Rosie was delighted to see DH and immediately took up her usual strategic position between us when we sat down to eat; she then wolfed down her own food, which she hasn't done for the week he was away.
I have cooked a proper meal, tidied up, phoned one friend and texted family and other people. Now I'd better make us a drink and get off to bed at a reasonable hour.
Hope everyone else is keeping well and enjoying the sunny days. See you tomorrow xxx.

It was brilliant…and travelling was no issue…down the M1 to a park'n'ride quite clse to the junction, tram into the city then a short walk to the arena. However…we were high up so I had to have my hand held where there were handrail gaps.
DW and WM locked and loaded. bins out. inhaler deployed as someone in the tram queue was vaping. Not thatI had an inhaler with me so a good job it wasn't a sbvere attack. Lesson learned.

Hello all. Glad that your DH is home Iona, and that you had a good night out Valli.
No flying here yesterday as I had paid stuff, grandkids for a while and a headache that followed. I went to be at seven and did get up until six this morning.
Today I have done dailies, paid stuff dog walk and I've cut grass back and front. Back to paid stuff soon so that's e done for the day.
Spend less now, work less later.5 -

Morning all
Off to 'Pemberley' today, I have a voucher for the tea rooms; as has my friend. We've booked afternoon tea.
In the meantime I shall do some tidying in each room.
Sad to see the thread so quiet.

Afternoon all. One load of washing done and dried outside. I've caught up with a lot of stuff this week with the sun and wind. Got DH to recycle some magazines yesterday after several months of "reminders". He subscribed in 2019 to get a free camera bag. Never opened the magazines or used the bag. There is a theme here…
I'm working on ancient paperbacks now that were from a charity shop, passed on to him, either read or not wanted and on the bookcase ever since while other newer books have to pile up on chairs. It's a work in progress.
Sorry I don't post every day but I know I never have anything interesting to say. I always like to read what other people have been doing though. x
