What ins comps accept Amex?
Renewing both car and House insurance. Getting a bit fed up going throuth the comparison sites and quote only to get the the pay now bit to find AMEX not accepted. ( i am a Avios collector!)
Is there a list on what companies take amex which will save me hours of useless backwards and forwards on the PC?
Or does anyone have good suggestions? the ideal is reasonable premium but not essential.

Remember that the Avios on a £100 spend are worth a couple of quid, if that.
Probably you would do better to find the cover that is best value for you rather than paying extra for using Amex.2 -

Admiral did previously - some will also accept PayPal which can be used indirectly with Amex.
Why don't you get one of the Barclaycard Avios cards as they're Mastercard rather than Amex

I am waiting for the 6month 'ban' to expire before i can reapply for a Barclaycard
Looking for Amex/paypal as there is now a 15k threshold before you get the 2-4-1 voucher
And Admiral are upping my home ins from 407 last yrear to 768 so they are not getting any more custom

They bought Egg in 2011 and whilst they dropped the brand they did continue to issue its cardholders a Mastercard World card

I just use a cashback site, better to get a chunk of money than some points which aren't necessarily worth much

In an idea world you would get both as they arent mutually exclusive offers.
If you have to pick one or the other you really need to understand the terms of the cash back as if its something like 1% then the points very much could be much more valuable than the cash
