Paying credit cards off with a debit card

That's nothing to do with it. I was just wondering if there was a new trend in restricting being able to pay credit cards off with a debit card. It's more faff having to make a faster payment, and introduces more risk as the customer may be more likely to make an error causing payments to go walkies

I've got Amex, Lloyds and Barclaycard credit cards all of which allow me to make payments to them by debit card if I want to.
So on the basis of 3 different providers, I'm not sure this is functionality which is being commonly phased out.

Just suddenly seeing a message for two. Although cannot now find any evidence of Barclaycard withdrawing the facility

having just been online to download my latest statement, looks like it might just be via the website they're ceasing the ability to pay by debit card
