Travelling to Dubrovnik, help needed with booking
Hi,
We're looking to travel to Dubrovnik for 5 days in June. We're flexible on any date in June. We want to fly from Bristol to Dubrovnik and - ideally - stay at Rixos Premium Dubrovnik.
Im overwhelmed by the options available. Either the flights are 10+ hours, or they leave Bristol at 6am (which means Id need to leave the house at 2am!), or the hotel isnt available etc.
Would a package holiday be best, in terms of cost and less hassle? I presume if we book a package deal then they will take us from the aiport to the hotel?
Any recommendations would be very gratefully received!
Thanks

A package doesn't necessarily include transfers but generally will.
If you're finding it difficult to evaluate options, perhaps worth visiting a travel agent?

Thanks, yes, Im just thinking about visiting a travel agent so I can sit down and discuss options. I think theres a TUI in town.
Do you think their prices will be the same as whats on the website, or do they charge more/less if you physically go in and see them?

I would have said look at Jet2, but they don’t fly from Bristol to Dubrovnik.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
I think you may well be limited to Easyjet if you want direct flights so you will probably be getting up early for the flight if that is your only option.

Not sure it'll be valid to generalise but I'd expect to pay more instore than online - I'm sure you wouldn't be the first to want to benchmark any quote though, so imagine they'd be used to dealing with such enquiries…

As for the flight times...
Thursday, Friday and Sunday Easyjet times out to Croatia are all after noon.
Monday and Wednesday flights back are all late morning.
So just go to Easyjet Holidays and mess around with dates. Fly out Friday, fly back Wednesday?
(Assuming Easyjet sell the hotel)

By the way TUI only fly out of Bristol once a week so you cant do five days.

Thanks guys. Some really useful info there. Ill persist. Ill probably also go into a travel agent tomorrow and see what they say.

If its TUI its pointless unless you are prepared to do a week.
Your best bet is to book the hotel yourself and just book standalone Easyjet flights, if you cant use any other airport.

Although most on here, me included, would usually be reluctant to recommend using cheap and cheerful online travel agents, these may be an option in order to create a package, which then offers greater protection than separate standalone DIY bookings by virtue of their obligations under the Package Travel Regulations.
There's a thread on the go started by someone who made separate bookings, who is now potentially facing issues if flights are cancelled:
