Welsh Water Assessed Charge
I have recently applied for a water meter having put in a new stop tap as Welsh Water said I couldn't have one at the previous stop tap location due to access.
The potable water comes in under my terrace and goes left and right to the other terraces on the row.
The assessor came out and said I still couldn't have a meter due as the length of pipe wasn't long enough.
I'm the only person living in a two bedroom house
I've been given three different assessed bills.
- Before the meter was requested - £506.60
- After the water meter was requested - £431.99
- After it was deemed a water meter couldn't be fitted - £460.51
I've contacted Welsh Water and they cannot give me a reason as to why the bill rose after it was deemed the water meter couldn't be fitted. I know it's £30 but it seems like they are pulling figures out of the air.
I'd be interested to hear from anyone else who is on an assessed charge to see what you're paying.
Thank you
