Gatwick Airport Drop off PCN- Times Parking

Hi all,

I recently got a PCN through from Gatwick drop off I stupidly forgot to pay the drop off this time!! - its new supplier is Times Parking a member of IPC.

I have received a "Parking Charge to Keeper"

Have been reading the forums/ posts about the wording to use, but two factors at play here:

1. it's a car registered to a business.

2. It's an IPC member so wondering if the template wording is correct

This is an appeal by the registered keeper - No driver details will be given. Please do not bother with your known fishing expedition in an attempt to get driver details to try and get around the fact there is no keeper liability (and never can be under POFA).

Due to this being airport land you will be well aware there is no keeper liability due to the byelaws in force and the fact this is not relevant land.

As there is no keeper liability then liability cannot flow from the driver to the keeper and thus is an auto win @POPLA . Please therefore cancel the notice or issue a POPLA code where you will auto withdraw

If you waste your time asking for driver details this will be ignored and you will still lose at POPLA if you dont cancel the PCN

Or do I use the wording as given in the other template:

I dispute your 'parking charge', as the keeper of the vehicle. I deny any liability or contractual agreement and I will be making a complaint about your predatory conduct to your client landowner. There will be no admissions as to who was driving and no assumptions can be drawn. Since your PCN is a vague template, I require an explanation of the allegation and your evidence. You must include a close up actual photograph of the sign you contend was at the location on the material date as well as your images of the vehicle. If the allegation concerns a PDT machine, the data supplied in response to this appeal must include the record of payments made - showing partial VRNs - and an explanation of the reason for the PCN, because your Notice does not explain it. If the allegation involves an alleged overstay of minutes, your evidence must include the actual grace period agreed by the landowner.THE NAME AND POSTAL ADDRESS OF THE KEEPER (OR THE HIRER/LESSEE) GOES HERE, OR IN THE RELEVANT BOX ON THEIR APPEALS PAGE. THE DRIVER IS NOT IDENTIFIED.

No POPLA due to Times Paring being IPC. Was the PCN issued in your name as Registered Keeper or to the business? FInd and read the Heathrow/Gatwick Group thread.

VCS at other Airports (Bristol, East Midlands, etc.) are in the IPC

AOS so ignore them unless they try a court claim.

Only contact an IPC firm to do one initial appeal to look reasonable (same wording as troublemaker22 provides above) and of course - common sense, if you want to be safe from a CCJ - update your address if you move house.

No POPLA, so no appeal worth escalating IMHO. IAS is widely considered as much use as a chocolate teapot (consumers and MPs). You might get a court claim from VCS = defendable.
