ISA Accounts
I have a question about moving money within ISA Accounts. I have set up a new account with a new provider transferred my old ISA and topped up with my full ISA allowance for 26. I have other ISAs that mature later in the year that will need to be moved and possibly merged for better interest rates. I assume that this can be back into a new ISA even though I'm not adding any more funds as I have used my allowance?

Yes, as long as you use the receiving provider's ISA transfer process, this doesn't affect, and isn't affected by, your current year contribution allowance.

You haven’t said what type of ISA you have - for transfers-in, you need an easy access ISA, or one of the very scarce fixed term ISAs which permit further funds after the initial funding window.
Presumably you have checked whether transfers-in receive the same interest rate as current year new contributions?0 -
I haven't asked the question about the transfer in rate as I just assumed the everything going into a new ISA would be treated the same but now that you've pointed this out I will reach out and check. Many thanks for the feedback.
