DCB Legal on behalf of Park Maven
Hi All,
I have received a Letter of Claim giving 30 days to pay the amount of £170 for no valid parking ticket.
I have read the newbie thread and ignored all correspondence until now.
I did contact the business I purchased from on the day. They referred me to the landowner who refused to help me because "too much time had passed". I've been living between 2 addresses and unfortunately I didn't collect my mail until then.
The letter I received asks me to complete the 'Reply Form and Financial Statement'. Neither were included with the letter.
The car park had ANPR technology. I attempted 6 times to enter my registration number. It allowed me to enter the first 2 characters, and then reset every time. I was unable to purchase a ticket as a result. I'm frustrated I didn't take a video of it happening. I assumed as I was only a car length inside the car park (a space at the entrance), that the ANPR hadn't picked me up so I thought no more of it. I presume I cannot use this as a defense if I have no evidence?
I look forward to receiving your guidance on how to proceed.
