DCA BMW FINANCE

so I complained through the MSE website using the tool, I got an email confirmation back in 2024 that there was a discretionary commission agreement on my car but have recently had another email to say there was that it was a fixed commission arrangement on the same car, anyone else had this ? How can that say in one email that a DCA was applied then in another say it was FCA arrangement ?

I would expect your agreement was a fair APR and that there wasnt a better rate available from that dealer at that time. Not every 2complaint" is valid. Alphera finance would be paying the dealer a fixed rate for that deal. Not over the thresholds.

    Probably.

    Both statements can be correct.

DCA can be negative, positive or neutral. Its when it is used negatively by increasing the rate that its an issue.

Your dealer could have had an agreement with the lender to use DCA if they wanted. However, if they didn't use it, then it's a case of neutral DCA where they were paid a fixed commission instead.

Early checks were there just to see if DCA was possible or not.
